So this was my amateur attempt at building a costume. I had only two days to do it, and it actually came out reasonably well. I am satisfied with it and the basic design was durable, comfortable, and actually quite satisfactory in appearance.

I wore this thing in the NYC Halloween Parade but unfortunately don’t have any pictures or usable video.

Assisting Cast

The fur was made from cheap brown fleece blankets that i found at K-Mart, and the supporting structure inside is basically a backpack with hip belt modified to extend over the wearer’s head. The arms were really quite ghetto.. giant pieces of foam spray painted a reasonably close shade of brown. The top of the head was a big piece of foam, while the giant round feet were also cut from the same foam. The giant red of the mouth is just red felt, while the teeth were white felt. I didn’t have enough time to make the eyes properly glossy so those are just cutouts of black felt as well.
