This lens was released relatively recently (2008) and struck a great hope among Olympus fans as a return to the roots of the company- innovative, compact designs that are the signature of Olympus in its early days with SLR cameras.
This neat little package is also a harbinger of things to come in the pancake world. It is a crop-sensor design, and its focal length of 25mm translates to a 50mm because of the 2:1 crop factor used by the Four Thirds mount.
This lens also has autofocus, which is quite cool for a lens of its size. I don’t know too much about it, so I can’t comment outside of what others have said about this lens already.
